2nd Healthscape Symposium

We invite you to check out the 2nd Healthscape Symposium here, hosted by Dell Medical School on Wed, Nov 30th, and Thu, Dec 1st, with a special opening in the evening of Nov 29th. All virtual.
Panels will discuss innovative work, challenges, and solutions with a cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary lens, giving a flavor for what health can look like outside of the healthcare system and doctor’s office—and in the Healthscape of people’s lives.
Panelists and guest speakers are UT faculty, staff and students, regional leaders and stakeholders, community and industry partners, and national experts in policy, practice and scholarship.

- How do they get here & where do they go? The Case of Transplant & Congenital Heart Surgery. With experts from Dell Medical School, Moody College of Communication, and the Value Inst for Health & Care (Dell Medical School & McCombs School of Business)
- Photovoice: Youth-Led Research to Innovate in Environmental Health. By faculty, student, and community member from the School of Architecture, Dell Medical School, Steve Hicks School of Social Work, and EcoRise.
- Food for Health: What Works & Will Healthcare Pay? The latest from researchers, Medicaid leaders and policy experts on the future of paying for food for health.
- Closing session (Dec 1st): Re-imagining a National Investment in Food and Health. With special guest, Ricardo Salvador, PhD, senior scientist and director of the Food and Environment Program at the Union of Concerned Scientists. This session will be streamed live from Health Learning Building Auditorium, located in the Dell Med Campus (15th & Red River St, parking validated) followed by a reception.
