Speaker:  Dr. Kristina Scharp, Associate Professor, Rutgers University

Colloquium:  How Communication Processes Address Inequity and Disparity:  The Importance of Remaking, Resistance, and Resilience (3 – 4:30 pm)

Speaker Bio:  Dr. Scharp is Associate Professor in the School of Communication and Information at Rutgers University.  Her research meets at the intersection of interpersonal, family, and health communication, with a particular focus on difficult family transitions and the process of marginalization. She most often examines marginalization in the contexts of relational/family distancing, complicated health diagnoses, and disenfranchised student populations.
