Equal Footing Film Festival
The Equal Footing Film Festival in association with HA Festival: The Art of Comedy returns on September 17-19 2021 – 3 days, 6+ Venues in the San Antonio Riverwalk Area and 20+ Shows where all forms of New Mainstream Art of Comedy will be on display; stand up, sketch, variety and film. Witness the funniest comics and filmmakers from across the country, as well as exclusive behind-the-curtain events, culminating in the live taping of a star-studded HBO Max comedy special. The winning film will be featured on the HBO Max comedy special.
Equal Footing is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower underrepresented voices in the film industry to tell their stories and get their projects off the ground. The Equal Footing Film Festival is one of the first ever all female film festivals and will celebrate the diversity of emerging female talent in the comedy genre. We will host celebrity speakers and noteworthy female directors and executives. The members of our jury are award winning artists and executives from all around the world.
