
Film Screening: “Jud Suss 2.0: Antisemitism, Misinformation, and Social Media”

Join the Schusterman Center for Jewish Studies, along with the Austin Jewish Film Festival, for a screening of Felix Moeller’s award-winning new documentary, Jud Süss 2.0. The film provides an in-depth analysis of contemporary antisemitism, tracing the historical roots of antisemitic rhetoric and exploring how social media and online disinformation have exacerbated the spread of antisemitism worldwide. The screening will be followed by a discussion focusing on antisemitic tropes and the dissemination of hate speech and propaganda via modern forms of media, featuring panelists Dr. Tatjana Lichtenstein, Dr. Kiril Avramov, and Ph.D. Candidate Gabrielle Beacken, and moderated by Dr. Samantha Pickette.
