Mental Health Meets Virtual Reality Imagine MeetUp

April 14, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm CDT

Mental Health Meets Virtual Reality Imagine MeetUp

When you think of Virtual Reality (VR), some most likely think of gaming or chunky, futuristic headgear. However, with the COVID-19 pandemic and mental health issues on the rise, VR is encouraging health care professionals to think about new ways treatment can be delivered. In this Imagine MeetUp, we will show you how VR has become a critical tool in this new era for mental health experts and where it’s going next!

Imagine MeetUps happen every 2nd Wednesday of each month from 6 – 7:30 PM CST to connect the Austin Media Community with students and faculty at UT through conversations and networking that we hope ignites new opportunities. At each MeetUp, there is ample time to discuss and demo ideas on the monthly topic that has impacted industries we interact with every day.

This event will be hosted virtually on our Gather.Town virtual lab, a 2D world for virtual events.
