Promoting Well-being in Learning Environments

January 6 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CST

Promoting Well-being in Learning Environments

CATE is hosting a virtual session on promoting student well-being in learning environments. Thea Woodruff, UT’s well-being coordinator, will be the presenter. During this session, participants will learn about the Longhorn Wellness Center’s Well-being in Learning Environments program.

This initiative was begun by UT’s Counseling and Mental Health Center to collaborate with faculty and staff across the university to support student mental health. In addition to examining mental health data for college students in general and UT students specifically, we will discuss specific strategies faculty and staff can implement to support student well-being within classes, office hours, and other learning environments. Participants will walk away with resources to help them infuse wellness into their work with students.

The online session is Friday, January 6, from 12 PM until 1 PM.

We hope you will join us: https://utexas.zoom.us/j/98044532113
