Speak Up Speak Out State Civics Fair

February 18, 2022 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CST

Speak Up Speak Out State Civics Fair

Serving students and educators since 2002, Speak Up Speak Out is an innovative civic education program designed to teach third grade through high school students about their communities and equip them with the tools to make a difference.

Speak Up Speak Out  participants work together as teams to identify community problems, craft innovative solutions that address them, and compete for the chance to present their findings to community leaders at the State Civics Fair. This year’s event takes place at the Texas Capitol Building on February 18, 2022.

We invite UT faculty, staff, and students to share their time as judges and event volunteers. To inquire about volunteer opportunities and time commitments, please contact speakupspeakout@austin.utexas.edu.
