Texas Immersive Monthly MeetUp: “Travel Meets Immersive”

April 6, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm CDT

Texas Immersive Monthly MeetUp: “Travel Meets Immersive”

Technology is radically changing the ways that we travel and explore other parts of the world. On one hand, translation technology is breaking down language barriers and AR technology is overlaying lessons in history and culture on top of a tourist’s view of a foreign country. These valuable technologies allow for deeper and more meaningful journeys into other cultures but these only tell half the story when it comes to the future of travel. There is also a new wave of VR technology that will allow many of the wonders to travel to be brought to people without ever needing to leave their home or classroom. During this event, we will be exploring the impact these new forms of traveling will have on us as students and world citizens while also showing you new technology tools to more deeply engage with the places you visit this summer break.
