Voces Lives on – A Memorial Tribute

August 15, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm CDT

This past year we lost six of our community heroes.
They shared their stories of adversity, hope and endurance with Voces and the world.
Let us pay tribute to them and honor their legacy.

Honorees: Rosalio “Rabbit” Duran, Lita De Los Santos, Ramón Galindo, Teresa Lozano Long, Irma Nicolás, Virgilio G. Roel

The program includes comments from former students who interviewed these men and women, and many others, as long as 20 years ago.
Loved ones will share stores of their legacies, and the audience will hear excerpts from original interview

The Voces archive captures the oral histories of unsung heroes and legends to help support education and research, and to create a greater appreciation of the Latino contribution to the full richness of American history. The interviews are used widely by educators, researchers, journalists and others.

RSVP for this free event by registering at http://bit.ly/vocesliveson.
Registered participants will receive a Zoom link to join in this virtual tribute.
